The Military Reserve is approximately 726 acres reserved for several different uses. The reserve is in the northeastern section of the City. The amenities available in the area are an archery range, an old military cemetery, and trails.

What’s the Poop with Eli Enki – By far the best for trial hikes with your dog, running stream for fun. Please pickup and bag the poop as a lot on trails, which is uncool.

Redwood Park

Redwood Park is a 7-acre neighborhood park located near Ustick Road between North Five Mile and Cloverdale in West Boise. The park features open green space, a walking path, fishing pond, picnic benches and a playground.

All areas within Redwood Park, with the exception of the playground and parking lot, are available for off-leash use during designated hours. There are signs with maps identifying the approved area installed at the park for user reference. Dogs are allowed off leash in the designated area in the mornings, sunrise to 10:00 a.m., and evenings, 4:00 p.m. to Sunset. Dogs must be on a leash at all other times during the day.

Dogs and their owners should be sure to follow the City’s leash and pick-up ordinance going to and coming from the designated off-leash area, and follow the Dog Off-Leash Rules and Regulations while visiting the park.

Great little pet friendly park. There’s a nice playground for kids, open field for dogs, two tennis courts, and one full sized basketball court.

What’s the Poop with Eli Enki – I Like it, clean and there is a stream for a doggie dip. Fenced three sides nice location.

Cypress Park

Morris Hill Dog Park

One-acre fenced off leash area with water, picnic tables and shelter. Sits within a 7.91-acre park features a large grassy open area, restroom, benches, tables, kids play area and an arboretum.

What’s the Poop with Eli EnkiAvoid after work as way to crowded. Great little water canal for doggie swim between park and cemetery. Keep dog on leash right up to the off leash area as you can get a ticket.

Sunset Park

Sunset Park is a neighborhood park located off 36th street in Northwest Bois and sits on 10 acres . Sunset Park features grassy area, mature shade trees, open play areas, a softball field, tennis courts, play equipment and picnic tables. The basketball court was overhauled in spring 2010.

Off the Leash Dog Area – 

Of the 10 acres, 4.3 acres are available for off-leash use during designated hours. The approved area is the open field on the west end of the park defined by the tennis courts and sidewalk to the west, the sidewalk on the south, and the property lines on the west and north end of the park. There are signs with maps identifying the approved area installed at the park for user reference.

Dogs are allowed off-leash in the designated area in the mornings only, from sunrise to 10:00 a.m. Dogs must be on a leash at all other times during the day.
