If there is a doggie heaven it is full of bones as for a dog a raw bone with a little meat on the bone and full of bone marrow is heaven on earth. I won’t give advice if bones are safe for your particular dog as that’s your job. I will say when it comes to bones RAW is the only way to go when possible as you get a little meat on the bone and full of bone marrow plus it has not been boiled so not teeth breaking rock hard. Most of all it is fresh and that is important and your dog will spend hours working that bone. I will say, get a bone large enough so your dog can clearly not get it down it’s throat is a smart idea.

If you have never heard of Boise Idaho you soon will as it is hot on the baby boomers list for retirement locations and a peaceful wonderful place to live and raise a family. I like to spend summers there and always head right over to Meats Royale “Old Fashioned” Meat Market of Boise to stock up on meat products for myself and a few raw bones for my Bella. Meats Royale has been serving the Treasure Valley area for over 40 years and is known for having the best cuts of meat in the state and have fresh bones for your dog. Whenever I stop into their store I am greeted with a lot of hello’s and smiles as everyone is happy and friendly just like the good old days. If you ever have a question about quality meat for your family or special get together big or small than you are in the right place.
Last time I stopped in to pick up a few fresh bones for my girl Bella I ask the manager if they would mind if I wrote a little something about the fresh doggy bones and friendly service as I was so impressed. The manager thanked me and said let people know that on their first visit to tell them Critter Joe’s sent them and they will have a little discount or something special for your dog.
If not in Boise find your own local butcher shop and find your own little doggy heaven.
